Work in progress

Yesterday was a lovely sunny day outside. Perfect as I needed to give the shelves of my kiln a bat wash. This is a mixture of kaolin, aluminiumhydroxide and quarts to protect them when glaze drips on them. I spent the rest of the day outside glazing some buttons & making more feelings. I love spring.

  8. Lucky you! Working outside with the sun on your face must be wonderful. Yesterday I wore a thick wool coat with a big wool scarf and I was still cold ! :(

Can't wait to see the new feelings and your finished buttons. Is that a babushka doll button?!

  14. Ahh, sun. I'd like to work in the sun, but it's usually pretty windy here. I'll have to make due with reading outside. :)

  16. I love spring too. We spent the day outside working on the veggie patch and building a firepit. With some luck this summer I can experiment with firing some pots in the open fire!
