Tutorial on Poppytalk Handmade

Today, one of my tutorials is published on Poppytalk Handmade. It's all on how to make bowls of unspun thread. They are easy to make, you just need patience for them to dry. They make also great baskets for easter eggs. Hop over to the tutorial here.

I'll be giving these 2 bowls away to the first visitor of my next fair. The only thing you need to say is 'I read your blog' when you come to my table! My next fair is this Sunday the 7th of March in the Cultural Center in Hasselt, Belgium. It's a celebration of International Woman's day then and the initiative is called Evanement.
I also made 15 'I read your blog' goody bags so that I don't have to dissapoint anyone else who says that! :) Hope to see you on sunday!

My creative space

Yesterday I went to the thriftshop to purchase a frame. There wasn't much choice so I kind of had to take what was available. But it will do for what I have in mind: a display for our collaboration jewellery. Not sure how I'll tackle it yet but I will make something from it. If I fail, I still have some nice round porcelain cups that can do the job. They are firing away right now. Perhaps, I'll even combine the two... :)

Want to show your creative space? Hop over to Kootoyoo's, it's fun! :)

Flickr Favorites

1. Dogs Allowed!, 2. Extreme diet, 3. chocolate sauce, 4. Ever Since Leonardo's Restaurant Hired "Lil' Helper", Tuna Fish was Missing from the Pantry Night after Night after Night

Last Sunday we went out for dinner with my family in law. My sister in law has a dog and wanted to bring him along since they didn't want to leave him alone for so long. So we searched for a restaurant where dogs were allowed. Not so difficult as we thought at the place were we go quite often after our walk, they don't mind if dogs come along. So cool.
And good thing that I am not on an extreme diet so that I could have my favorite icecream 'dame blanche' afterwards. I think the cat was the chef's little helper! :)

My favorite mosaic from last week is so soft, so gentle and so sweet.

If you like to play this week, make your mosaic and add a link to your blogpost (NOT your blog please) or Flickr in Mister Linky (click on the button below and fill in your name with the link to your blogpost or Flickr picture).

I might not be able to check out the mosaics today due to other stuff I need to take care off. But I'll certainly pop by later this week.

Happy monday

I love it when the postman rings our doorbell 'cause that usually means he's got a package for me. And jip, I was right, the delivery of the collaboration jewellery that Anna send me so that I can take it to the fair with me. Yay! It is actually the first time that I see the finished pieces in real life, except the loop necklace, so I was superexcited to open up the package.
And it was all so nicely packaged with beautiful pouches and business cards.
And three pieces of Baklava, if my fair buddies are lucky (read: if I haven't eaten them), I'll share them on Sunday.
Now I can't wait to find a nice way to display it all... to be continued.

New work

Tommorrow you can find new collaborative work in Anna's shop LilaRubyKing. As usual, I like to tease you a little... don't forget to check it out on monday! :)

And I have listed the bunnies that I have been working on recently in my shop.
You can find 'em in the Bunny Art - section. Aren't they cute?

Ripple dreams... part 5

Original colors extra colors
Haha, have not much to show you this week. Didn't have any time to get any crocheting done but my wool arrived. Yeah! I didn't have much choice of colors anymore since I already had 25 different ones but I want all different stripes so I added some browns to it. I hope this won't make it too dark but we'll see...

Merry go round

I have been invited to join the 'Merry go round' group. What is the Merry go round exactly? Each month, a group of craftswomen from around the world join together and give their reponses to the same question. At first I thought 'No, no, not another thing that has to be done' but then when reading a bit further I thought 'Hm, this could be interesting as it will make you reflect on things'.
We jump on the Merry go round every last friday of the month and hopefully you'll enjoy that ride. Feel free to check out the responses from the other artists to this month's question:
(links after my answer to the question)

What do we hope to learn/achieve this year?
I'm not a person that usually makes resolutions for the new year. I do make a little wish when the champagne pops and the new year begins. But I can't tell what I wished for as then it won't come through of course...
My ceramics has become such part of my life that I hope to learn to balance it with all that has to be done too: a job, a house to keep clean, social life, virtual life,...
I try to live day by day and enjoy life's virtues as they come.
I do dream a lot but I don't strive for them to come true all the time. When it happens, it happens and when it doesn't, it wasn't meant to be. Pretty simple, huh?
So perhaps the answer to the question is: no complicated goals, no ambitious plans, no pressure but feel good, live conciously and be mindful.
