Treasure on the attic

When I bought the house we live in, the people who sold it did not want to have anything that was still in the house. For a starter, that was some pretty good news for me as I didn't have to buy lots of things that involve 'dressing' a house. Even though it was not always what I would have chosen myself, I was happy that I didn't have to buy it all at once.
But the consequence of buying the house with everything in it was that there was still a lot of stuff I did not need or want so that went to the thriftstore. Some of it looked interesting and I put it in a box on the attic. The other day, I was clearing some room on one of my cupboard shelves to put more feelings to dry. Lots of things needed to go to the attic. There I found the box I put all the interesting stuff in when I moved in. Look what I found:I'll be using this set to number my feelings! I have been wanting to buy one of those for ages so now I only need the alphabet! YaY! :)

    this is great! Aaaaahh the things one might find in the attic! Now you reminded me that i have to clear up the attic...damn.

    Nice find, what is it?! Sorry if I sound silly but what would you use it for? Are they some kind of letter stamps?

    Jip, these are metallic number stamps. You can just press them into the clay or use them for metal stamping. :)

    hey, how wonderful! I found an ancient toolbox with a grindstone and ahuge vice when I moved to the house I'm in now - it's a wonderful feeling, isn't it?

    It is, Sophie! I put it on the attic about 9 years ago and forgot that I had a set like that so that was a nice surprise!

    Those are going to be great on the bottom of the feelings! What a fun treasure the last people left behind! All the previous owners of our place left behind was a ton of tacky wallpaper rolls! :(

    It is always wonderful to find something special, sort of like an unexpected present. Some of the best and most wonderful things are unexpected. I found a box my mother hid and left for me before she passed. It was filled with dishes and and all sorts of what is now antique. It is special to me, and knowing that she wanted me to find it after she was gone made it even more meaningful.
