I'll start with the wall art tiles that are fired but need some color.
The creative bubble one is already reserved for someone special so I hope that it will come out as she likes. If not, it will be for someone else! :)
Here is the process of how it's done: the plain fired tile, the tile with the painted oxyde on, the washed off tile.
In a few days I will fire my kiln and show you the results! :)
They will look completely different!

I cannot wait to see it finished. I have always loved pottery and tried to learn how to use an electric wheel but could not get the flow happening. I became a good hand builder of pottery lol. I know I thoroughly enjoyed my course that I did many many years ago.

Thank you for all your lovely comments!
ReplyDeleteMarian, it's not a solid tile. The back had edges. I think that tile itself is about 6mm or so.
A solid tile would definately explode! ;)
Renovia, I don't know how it's called in English - I thought oxides was the same in English. It's a basic supply for ceramics so I'm sure if you ask at your local supplier they can help you out. If you know the real name in English, don't hesitate to let me know! :D
It's fascinating, I love seeing your process, thanks for sharing.
