Flea market

After yesterday's Flickr favorites about fleamarkets, I just wanted to share some impressions of the fleamarket we visited last monday. It is a yearly market that is super busy and alive. Unfortunately it's not a lot of very old stuff but if you search well, there sure are some treasures to be found besides all plastic junk.

The sign reads 'dog bar' and they can drink for free! :)Relax in the sun and perhaps get rid of some junk?
I love the old suitcases and the sewing box on the bottom right.
I always hope that these balloonvendors suddenly take off but they never do. Would be such a cool sight! :)
These are supercool I think!
After we visited the market, we went to the park where a band was playing and lots of people where on the lawn enjoying the sun and the music. Some kids were trying to make some money too. This little fellow was making pancakes - cute! :)

    We have got that typerwriter at home, or very similar one, thanks to my dad - unofficial but keen collector... :D

    Nice mix of stuff. I had to laugh at your comment on if the balloons took off. As much as it would be fun to see, I bet the vendor would not find it so amusing:-).

    Is it an official flea market day in Belgium? Fleur wrote, that she was on a flea market on monday as well.

    Or is it something like a day for everyone to have a garage sale?

    We have something like this: each week in a different district, people put their junk on the street for a few days, and people can take away what they like (for free). After a few days the garbage company comes and brings the remainig to ... I dont know where, but away.

    My my... what a great post. I love flea markets. I love the typewriter, that I remembered I started my typing skill from that (my grandpa's one).

    Flea markets are so cool! Especially when the weather is nice and you can stroll the streets! Did you buy something?
