After finishing my Babette blanket, I have been pondering if I should continue with my Granny squares blanket or start my Ripple blanket.
The yarn has been sitting here for ages and my hands have been itching a lot to start using it.
When I saw Jess' blanket in her creative space the other day, I knew I would start my own. So, off to Attic24 to find the pattern. I love Lucy's blog. Everything about it makes me happy.
It's colorful, happy and it's just comfortable to spend some time there once in a while. Besides that, Lucy is a lovely person and her work is very inspirational & I'm certainly not the only one who thinks that way. The first step is to copy the instructions into a word file and make the pics a bit smaller so that I don't have to print a whole book.
The instructions are fabulous & I can't wait to get started. Well, I suppose this is a start already but for me the adventure starts when I pick up my hook and make a little test square...
Looking good! Enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder how long this one will take :) atleast no sewing pieces together this time :) Good luck and have fun!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE Attic24! Isn't it the best? I printed out her hexagon pattern and was madly crocheting hexs on my holiday. I've yet to post about them (it was a big learning experience!) Anyway, my next challenge was going to be her ripple blanket pattern. So excited to see you're making one Mitsy and I can't wait to see how it turns out. Good wishes! Kx

ReplyDeleteI loved making my baby ripple blanket with some scrap yarns. When I'm done with my Granny Squares afghan I may have to go out and get yarn to make a full sized ripple blanket ! :)
ReplyDeleteone- thank you so much for introducing me to Jess's blog. Her love for color soooo reminds me of my own and makes me feel less guilty for being such a color spaz. How lovely.
ReplyDeletetwo- Do it! I just started my first ripple blanket a few days ago. I'm working in treble crochet, so it will be a little looser. Maybe a good summer evening blanket. Can;t wait to see your progress!
