Every last friday of the month, I jump on the 'Merry go round'. What is the Merry go round exactly? Each month, a group of craftswomen from around the world join together and give their reponses to the same question/challenge.
This month, we had to make something for someone else and we would receive a surprise ourselves.
My surprise came all the way from Singapore. Lily Pang is a very talented artist. She makes illustrations, paintings, lap top skins, art pendants, magnets and stationary.
I was very happy to receive this gorgeous print and I apologize for not having it framed yet.
The colors will fit perfectly in my studio and I'm thinking of having it framed in a bright orange frame. Or would a dark wood colored frame be better, what do you think?
I found this months 'challenge' a bit hard because I only joined this group recently and don't know much about these sweet people yet. However, I was happy we had the names in time so that I could go sneak around on her blog to get to know her a bit better. I send this off to Sara and I was jippetyjappety happy she likes it. :)
Please bear in mind that the members will be posting at different times of the day, depending on which world time-zone they are in :)

Sounds like a fun group! Love the print, and I say go with a bright orange frame!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous print - I'm thinking a dark wood frame would be nice :)
ReplyDeleteLovely print! If it were me I'd go with the dark wood frame but I think a bright orange one would be funky :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the writing up!
ReplyDeleteGo for orange! (It would bring out the colour of the cute owl).
ReplyDeleteThat merry-go-round pic is taking me back to my youth.... happy days of gripping on to the roundabout for dear life as my naughty brother whizzed it round way too fast!! xox
Awww, that's a beautiful print! Personally I'd go for a dark brown, though orange is an intriguing idea too.
ReplyDeletegreat Print Mitsy!!
ReplyDeleteSounds so fun! Beautiful print! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat print, I love it. And I am a little bit jealous also :D
ReplyDeleteI would go for the bright orange. Just a feeling, because usually I would always go for black.
Why not lime frame? :)
Such a nice group!
ReplyDeleteThe print is lovely and for the frame... maybe I would go for an orange tone similar to the owl wings, or maybe even white, like the little flowers, if you want to give it more light! It will look gorgeous anyway :)
I love the clip— fits the mildly disapproving look on the owl's face.
ReplyDelete;-)
Wonderful colours!
I bought this same illustration from Lily a while ago as a laptop skin. I just love it. Hope you'll show us when you get it framed.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous print from Lily!! Lucky you!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adored my gift... thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI love the Print Lily made for you.
