great fabric ! Looks a bit like the marimekko fabrics.
Both skirt or dress would look good. A simple wide model, not to many seams, to keep the pattern as much visible as you can.

A simple shift dress would be lovely...but a skirt might be easier. Either way, check out the many good zipper tutorials online.

I'm glad to hear that you've been taking some time for yourself this week.

I also think you're really brave to be sewing garments already!! (I'd still be making potholders if I were you!!! Giggle)

You are amazing at everything you put your mind to, though, so I'm sure it will be wonderful, whichever you choose.

I would go for a skirt, a dotted dress might become a little overwhelming, besides sewing a skirt is much easier ;)

Is it a knit cotton? Then I'd do a tee. It would look great with jeans. But between dress and skirt I say skirt. Love the pattern!

Skirt! Very bright and summery fabric.

Reminds me of a skirt I've just cut up (or should I say "upcycled") and turned into a nappy change bag for my friend....! It was quite interesting to dismantle, discovering the darts, the lining, the zip and how it was all put together.

Wish I'd taken a template before I'd totally destroyed the skirt - maybe one day I'll be brave enough to branch into clothing. Hope you post pics of what you create! L xox

It's hard to see the scale of the print, but it looks like it's on the large side. So... I would say if you're tall a wrap dress, if you're petite a simple skirt.
