How to make a paper bead necklace?

This paper bead necklace is super easy and fun to make. Here is what you need:
Decopatch paper, Decopatch glue (or other varnish glue like ModPodge),
cotton paper beads, ribbon, wooden sticks, needle, glue pencil.
Tear pieces of Decopatch paper.
Tear them even smaller as we'll be working on
small paper beads so there will be less creases.

Take a wooden stick and stick it through the paper bead.
You can purchase the cotton paper balls in your local craftshop.
Put some glue in the lid of the jar.
Put some glue on the bead.
Dip your glue pencil in the glue and then pick up a tiny piece of paper with it. Stick it onto the bead and put some more glue over the piece of paper.
Then repeat until the bead is completely covered.
Let 'em dry.
I you like 'em shiny, then add another layer of varnish glue.
When they are dry, remove the beads from the sticks.
String the beads onto the ribbon.
And you're ready to go out!
I'll be giving this necklace away among all the blogcomments. So if you like to win this, please do leave a comment. Make sure that I know where I can find you when you win! :) The winner will be announced nex week! :)

Studio happenings

Superhappy to be back to my studio after the X-mas days. Here's a peek in my studio on what's happening in there today:
Clean up yesterday's mess from mould making.Sand porcelain pieces for my collaboration with Anna from lilarubyking.Finish piggybanks so they can dry.
Photograph Decopatched singing birds.
Draw happy faces on the happy girls.

That's a lot to get done today, I'm not sure I'll manage but I'll try.
I dread the sanding and there's a lot of it... *sigh*
What are your plans today?

European Streetteam Challenge entry

Last week I won the European Streetteam challenge & I had to pick a new theme for the week.
It was no surprise that I chose 'babushka's' as a source of inspiration I suppose.
Anyway, while I was sick, I decopatched on the couch as not to feel completely useless. Here is my entry for the challenge:I listed the one above in my shop & will list the other ones later this week!
Go look at all the marvelous entries here! I'll pick a winner tonight! :)
