Flickr Favorites


First of all, thanks so much for all the themed quote mosaics from last week. It was so fab to see what you all came up with and all of them were awesome. I also feel wiser now. :)
I had a very hard time choosing a favorite one. So I cheated and chose two...
One is a quote I need to frame, the other one made me laugh out loud! :)

I typed 'Japanese paper' as a search tag in Flickr this week. I love paper. I wish I had more time to play with it. The colors and patterns on Japanese paper are divine. It makes me happy just looking at the pictures...

I love paper too. Every time I go to a new country, I buy notebooks... yeah, regular notebooks but usually a bit different from the ones we are used to.
I was going to ask you the other day if you still wanted to get rid of some of those paper samples you had... wall paper. I feel like making boxes... maybe we can get together and make boxes! just for fun...

These papers reminds me patchwork textiles. I have never seen these type of papers... Wow. When I was in Japan I wondered all kinds of crafts and arts...and these papers... wow....

The colors and patterns are fantastic! I can't find Japanese paper here in Greece :( but I found this site where you can print Japanese paper patterns.It's a site for paper lovers: http://cp.c-ij.com/en/contents/2004/list_15_1.htm....

I was laughing too when I irst saw that quote - it was a lovely theme that ya' came up with!!!
As for Japanese papers, it is so inspiring! My mother use to have a japanese friend who taught us many nice crafts with it, I wish I could practice it more (not for my little to no patient ) but my sister is working with it and making great stuff!

Love your washi paper I was going to do washi tape this week and then I saw yours so changed to red boots :) Tamar

I love it !!! this os pretty and so fresh. i ahve always LOVED japonese paper. and my beloved friend and kindred sister MIZUHO alwaus offer s me the most magnificent pieces !!

You're preaching to the choir, Mitsy. I love paper too, I would be surrounded by it if I could afford it. Years ago I used to indulge my love of paper by having many kinds of correspondence. But now that letters just aren't written I don't have the stuff anymore. Now that I'm swapping on swapbot I may just collect stationary etc again. :o)
