Burda Style

As if I don't have enough networking sites that I follow or participate in, I decided to add one more: BurdaStyle Not that I'm big on sewing yet but it's inspirational to browse through the projects and I hope to find a few projects there that I want to tackle sometime.

We had a party in our street last night and I found out that the new neighbor across the street is a designer for a chain of stores in Belgium. She offered to help me with any sewing project that I'm working on. She also has a bunch of patterns that I can have a browse through which I find really rad! How cool is that? Yeah! :)

And while adding my first sewing project to BurdaStyle, I searched for a picture for the pattern that I used and found out that you can actually buy it on Etsy.

I have also recently started to branch out a little bit from my usual craft (jewelry making) to doing some mixed media art. It's fun to try new things & a great way to feed your creative soul! It's great to see you expanding your skill set to include sewing!
Ok were are ready to see your newly selfmade winteroutfit ! Give it a go !
Great Mitsy!
I've planned since months/years to take up sewing again. I did it a lot some 20 years ago (even made children's cloths for a shop) ... Maybe your blogpost will put me on the right track. I added this Etsy-site to my favourites... I really like the pattern of your dress (my favourite interpretation is the one with black and whtie).

And what a super discovery to have more creative people in your street .... I have the impression that creative people like to live in the same kinds of neighbourhood .... I also have a lot of creatvie people in my neighbourhood, although we have almonst no contact ... which is a pity ...
My mom sewed with patterns from Burda's magazines. I loved them, just learned by heart every page, they were like a window to a bright world. Love Burda. Ann has a great idea and turned it into a great opportunity for a lot of women to sew their own clothes.
My congratulations, Mitsy, with your first Burda project! :)
