Flickr Favorites

Sometimes I wish I lived more in the south of Europe where lots of houses have colored facades. I wonder why it is that in warmer regions, houses look happier. Where I live, most houses look grey, red or black and boring. When I see a brightly colored facade, somehow my heart jumps a little. I couldn't resist adding some happy colored paper and tablecloth. For me, bright is happy.

In Argentina people tend to paint their houses too... my parent's house is red. RED. :) Runs in the family. But the neighbours have a...PURPLE house LOL

I'm the same, when my mood is going south of the border I tend to gravitate to bright colours to help cheer me up. I'm so longing to move to the tropics again - I want that sunlight and bright life.

I agree..there is something so upbeat and uplifting about a brightly colored house. They make me think of beach houses, and warm weather. mmmm :)

I love colored facades! Love the homes in Amsterdam. Once in a while I find a home here that is painted in a colorful and artistic way. Always brings a smile to my face. :)

I love pops of color too! Black is one of my favorite colors, but I think that some color here and there make all the difference!

I love brightly coloured houses :D they just make me smile and add so much character to a place. If I ever get an outside studio, it will be brightly painted :)

Love the colors! Colors can influence my mood. Isn't it strange that people don't make their houses so colorful if they are living in a cold area? Warm areas have the sun already, they don't need to create it...
