UFO's

Since I started crocheting in the beginning of 2009. I know I was determined to tackle the basics but started out a bit too ambitious by wanting to make a pair of slippers. It took me at least four tries to get it right.

Since then, I've been infected by the crochet bug. You can find my projects on Ravelry or in my Flickr. Lately I find I have too little time to crochet but I see so many fun projects around that I usually am very tempted to start yet another project.

So, I thought if I publicly shared my UFO's (unfinished objects), I will be more determined to finish 'em? It is quite embarrassing to see 'em grow instead of see 'em finished...

My granny square blanket.
My ripple blanket. My little blanket. My studio chairs.
Thank goodness I have two of the four finished...
And last but not least, a new project started earlier this week...
My yarn bag.

And I do have a few smaller projects in little pouches here and there too... *blushes*

But, I'm quite confident that I'm not the only one with UFO's laying around so feel free to do a little confession and tell me about yours! :)

everywhere... UFOs all over the place. And when I decide it is time to finish them, something new comes along and the list is ever growing...
Wow--I'm in love with your yarn bag--and everything, really--it all looks delicious!

No-way! I'm not going to show my unidentified flying objects yet...okay, maybe soon! :-D
Mitsy, it was such a joy watching your projects come to life. Thanks so mch for taking the time to share. It's very inspiring.
Haha, believe me there are some UFO´s here too! ....from a knitted shoulder loop scarf..(It´s getting warm, maybe finishing next fall?!)...to chairs, waiting on the attic to be restored.....not to mention the unfinished jewelry projects which have to wait when a new idea comes along......
Fun to see your´s!
I've got a few hanging around, not sure how many. You use such great colors!! I really like the colors in your little blanket!
You've got a fine collection of UFO's, and those little slippers are fantastic.

I also just finished some crazy striped socks, but have many UFO's...an almost finished multi-colored Japanes style crocheted wrap, a black and white wool and mohair scalloped edge scarf, a not quite big enough yet circle-into-square granny square afghan, a knitted pillow...and I think there are some other bits and pieces in hiding places!

It's good to rotate amongst them!
I will definitely have to make a blogpost about it too ... but I takes courage !
en er is een een gezegde : proberen gaat over studeren :-)
I am a fan of the crocheted slippers ... one to try too !
Have a very nice weekend Mitsy
ohhh! a great reason to purchase those wonderful bags on Etsy! Love your slippers and the seat covers.
I have a ton of granny squares that I started when I was pregnant with my daughter. She is now 7.5 and I still haven't finished :)

I also have lots of knitting projects half finished or almost finished. And several quilts either awaiting to be assembled or fabric that is stashed and needs to be cut for quilts.

I like rotating from one craft to another. Easier on the hands and I get a renewed sense of appreciation and purpose every-time I switch. I figure life is a work in progress and so are my projects.
I have jewelry designs that I started and that I want to change now, so I have those sitting in plastic bag of to dos, and I have some completed necklaces and bracelets to rework in plastic storage containers.

Hmm, will posting pics get me motivated? Maybe I can put up a poll about remaking them or keeping them as is.

Thanks.
Oh, I really dislike unfinished projects lying around but I do have one unfinished blanket hidden deep in my closet. (out of sight out of mind? haha)
Love all your projects!
goed gedaan! ps: dat ene dekentje ken ik :)
i have a huge list of things to finish, off the top of my head:
1. a ripple blanke
2. a painting
3. 2 big cat drawings
4. a zebra drawing
5. lots more drawings :p
6. paint the living room wall

I wonder: If we combine your granny squares with my granny squares, would we have enough for a blanket?
simply beautiful!
I don´t even get as far as a ufo, I get the idea, the fabric (or other material) then thats it, everything just lies around taking up space and not even started on!! :P
