Glazing earstuds & new designs

The other day I glazed some earstuds. Normally I apply the decals onto unglazed ware but with digital decals it is much harder to apply them to unglazed ware. So I had the joy of glazing fiddly tiny discs for earstuds.

When Anna made the new designs for the Sea Level line, there is always room left for a few teeny tiny designs for earrings. Below you can see a sample of some of the new designs. Yes, some, there are more then these but I didn't feel like cutting all of them out just to get a sample. :)

These new earstuds will be first available at the ceramic market in Maaseik on the 30th of June. 

In the mean time, there are still some pieces left of the MINORERROR work if you like to get a good deal. :)

Work in progress

The other day someone asked me if I was able to glaze a small part of a feeling.
Euh? The feelings are normally unglazed because I think it distracts from the actual feeling.
But this request did make sense as it is for someone who works in a Pharmacy and in Belgium, most pharmacies are depicted with a green cross. A first time for everything I suppose.
I hope this little fellow will come out of the kiln OK. I'm always a bit nervous about glazed ware as it's always a surprise when you open the kiln.

Process

Ceramics is such a lenghty process. You never get to see the end result on one day. After the making the stuff needs to dry. Then it needs to be fired and if you want some color, it needs to be glazed and fired again to get the end result. There is a lot of patience involved in what I do. *sigh*
But opening the kiln and seeing a bunch of colored flowers just makes me extremely happy! Still catching up on work here but I'm having a few days off and will do some relaxing and ahum housework (bweurk) too! :)
